Golden Midget Watermelon

So, I thought it was time for you guys to learn about a new type of watermelon. So, here it is! The Golden Midget Watermelon! As weird as the name sounds, it is a real watermelon. The Golden Midget was developed by Elwyn Meader and Albert Yeager in 1959. The rind of the Golden Midget - a mini weighing about 3 pounds - turns yellow when ripe. Also, the flesh is a summer-y salmon color. And good for summer is the taste which is sweet and refreshing (which is what I've heard because I've never actually had one). But maybe one day..one day...in the future..I'll get to try one...
